Heirloom Highlight: Flutter

I'm pretty sure that, in my past life, I was a swirly girly-girl who loved hoop skirts, soft curls, and the prettiest, loveliest, flowiest letters.

Oh wait. That's pretty much me now.

So imagine my delight when Charmaine and I first began dreaming up our Calligraphy Collection, and I pitched (begged) the idea of a super sweet, overly flourished design. I'm pretty sure I said "more flourish, please" at least four times during our design collaboration, and Charmaine truly delivered! This design makes my heart flutter, which is exactly why I named it Flutter.

To me, Flutter is a perfectly Southern Belle - dancing effortlessly through a flower field and enjoying the fragrant breeze.

We printed samples of the Flutter invitation with a deep letterpress impression on soft, 110lb bright white cotton paper, using a rich fog grey ink. There's something about grey letterpress that makes my heart happy, especially when paired with timeless grey envelopes, a soft pink envelope liner, and a white wax seal.

Samples of Flutter are available to order here, and I promise you will not be disappointed by the beautiful quality of the letterpress. It's impeccable, and (confession) I leave a Flutter invitation in my desk drawer for when I have the (frequent) urge to run my fingers across it. Sigh.
