HELLO, I'M JACKIE

I buy fonts the way most women buy shoes: in abundance and without telling my husband. In my spare time I study etiquette like it's my job.

Oh wait, it IS my job.

In 2005, I ditched design school to pursue a more lucrative corporate career as a leadership coach. However, the itch to design seemed to have never ditched me.

When my high school sweetheart proposed in 2008, I immediately began to design our wedding invitations. Of the entire wedding planning process, the invitations are what whet my whistle the most. I spent hours, days, and weeks learning everything I could about printing, paper, color, texture, finishes, and etiquette.

I was hooked.

For years my days were spent in Corporate America, my evenings were dedicated to graduate school (I have my Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Fancy, huh?), and every other moment was devoted to learning the intricacies of fine wedding invitations and growing a small business.

My coaching career took off right at the same time as Sincerely, Jackie became a known force within the stationery world.

I had a decision to make.

In 2014, I took the corporate world by surprise. Instead of coaching leaders, I decided to become a leader. I gave my notice, and began leading at Sincerely, Jackie full-time.

Over the years I have worked with couples around the world, have been featured in countless media outlets, and have continued to grow my font library (with zero shame). Wedding invitations bring me as much joy today as they did over ten years ago, and I've even combined my expertise in a way that allows me to coach other small business leaders.

How cool is that?!

These days you'll find me at the SJ Studio in a sea of swatch books and design samples, drawing on my years of design and production experience, with the sole purpose of creating the perfect invitations for YOU. I'll be with you every step of the way: to answer your etiquette questions, help you select the perfect shade of white, commiserate about those last-minute guest list additions, and gush with you when they're done and pure perfection.

Jackie Fun Facts

On May 26, 2016 my husband and I welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Richard Peter, aka #LittleRichieM. Richie weighed 2lbs 2oz, was 14 weeks early, and his birth literally saved my life. At 26 weeks pregnant, I developed HELLP Syndrome, an extremely rare, potentially fatal pregnancy complication that can only be cured by delivery. Our family spent 99 days in the NICU, where, together, we beat the odds. During our journey I was inspired to create The Everyday Mother, a beautifully simple baby tracking journal that has since grown as much as my little Richie. My husband and I had our wedding reception at Jones Beach Theater in May of 2011. Serendipitously, at the very place where we first met and fell in love as highschoolers in 2003. We had the stage for photos, and guests danced the night away under the stars.

My husband and I met when we were 16 while working the concession stands at Jones Beach Theater, and have been together ever since. We are music lovers with a particular fondness for Dave Matthews Band. Back in our young and adventurous days, and before we had our son, we were known for traveling near and far to see DMB. Guess how many time's we've seen them perform? Hint: somewhere between 25-35 (!!). Ahh, those were the days!

My life is a balance of elegant practicality. I collect fine antique jewelry (my favorite piece being my 100+ year old engagement ring), but tend to keep my best gems locked away and instead sport classic gold ball earrings with jeans and a tee. I love dining at fine restaurants in New York City, but, when given the choice, will pick pizza at home with my family all day, everyday.

In addition to holding a Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, I have a handful (or two) of professional certifications, including certifications in nearly all personality assessments (my favorite is the Hogan), as well as a fair number of leadership coaching certifications. While I no longer work in the corporate world, I do offer coaching services to small business leaders. If you're interested in one of my coaching packages, drop me a line.

I'm terrified of bugs, need to be medicated when flying, and absolutely hate having sand on my feet; but I desperately want to live life to the fullest, enjoy every moment, and fully support having food fights in my kitchen.

I am passionate about helping small businesses find success through community, and am the Nassau County, Long Island leader for The Rising Tide Society's TuesdaysTogether. On the second Tuesday of every month, a group of local creative business owners gather to chat about business, lend support, and build a powerful community. The more the merrier, so if you're local, you are welcome to join our meetings.

Designer, Proof Pro, + Right Hand Lady

A long-time friend, boy-momma, and fellow designer, Jillian is the newest member official member of the Sincerely, Jackie team.

She brings her organizational skills, quick turnarounds, stellar design eye, and sense of humor to all SJ couples while working with them one-on-one to proof and edit their invitation suites to perfection.

Behind the scenes, Jillian helps with all facets of running Sincerely, Jackie, and is the glue that keeps us all together!

Calligrapher, The Calligraphy Collection

A California native, who called Brooklyn home before moving to Kuwait (where she currently lives), Charmaine fell in love with the age-old art of calligraphy during graduate school.

She is the talented hand behind all of the calligraphy in The Calligraphy Collection, and has been bringing her penmanship to Sincerely, Jackie clients since 2015.

Her calligraphy has been featured in, among others, Martha Stewart Weddings, BRIDES, and Style Me Pretty.

If there is anybody out there that loves clean type and white space more than I do, it would be Angela.

With a design degree from Parson's, and over a decade of experience in the industry, Angela has a vast knowledge of fine print methods, typography, and has a white-hot passion for paper.

She's the designer behind the modern-meets-classic AV Design Collection and often works with the Sincerely, Jackie couples during the design process.

Calligrapher

After taking a calligraphy class at just 12 years old, Allison fell in love with the art of putting pen to paper (or pen to glass, pen to leaf, pen to mirror....).

She joined the Sincerely, Jackie studio, and quickly became the go-to calligrapher for couples looking to have their guest addresses written in calligraphy.

Allison is also the hand behind the Calligraphy Styling Experience, an exclusive offering for Sincerely, Jackie brides.
