FONT FRIDAY - BUTTERMILK FARMHOUSE, A RUSTIC SCRIPT FONT

Let's start today by giving a deep bow to Joanna Gaines, who has caused the entire country to go bat-shit crazy for all things rustic farmhouse. While I think the rustic wedding trend existed long before Joanna took over the world, the trend has only gained momentum over the years. That begs the question: is the rustic farmhouse aesthetic truly a trend if it never goes away? As my husband would say, "I dunno".

Regardless, it's important, as a designer, to find ways to incorporate trends into your own unique style. For me, rustic is a harder one, because my aesthetic is so clean and simple. However, when I stumped upon Buttermilk Farmhouse, I thought, "hmmm, this could do, this could do". I love that it's rustic, but still has a touch of the romance that I love. I'm also the biggest sucker ever for adorable farm vectors, and Buttermilk Farmhouse comes with the CUTEST ever little illustrations. I could absolutely use the illustrations on menu cards for meal selections!

Since Buttermilk Farmhouse made me stop in my tracks, I'm sharing it with you today for Font Friday. What are your thoughts on the farmhouse trend/craze? Sticking around for a while?
