HEIRLOOM HIGHLIGHT: SHE GOT SCOOPED UP BRIDAL SHOWER INVITATIONS FEATURED ON RUFFLED
Years ago, right around when Leah and I first met, we had casually chatted about how much we both wanted to bring an ice-cream inspired shoot to life. Me, mainly because I love ice-cream. Leah, mainly because she's a creative genius and can add a fresh, new twist to pretty much ANYTHING.
So early last year, when Leah had the opportunity to finally create ice-cream magic, it was a no-brainer for me to be on board. It helped that she had literally pulled together THE DREAM TEAM (including Erin Braun for design + florals, JainΓ© of Brklyn View Photography to capture, and some seriously awesome models, including Eileen and Kate).
The inspiration came from Pantone's color(s) of the year (this was shot and published in 2016) of rose quartz and serenity (a soft blue). So many creatives gave Pantone flack because the colors felt so "baby boy" and "baby girl", but leave it to Leah to use the softest shades of pinks and blues to create a romantic, fresh bridal shower inspired by all things ice-cream.
I created invitations that played with the shape of ice-cream (literally) along with hints of watercolor and the sweetest little waffle cone inspired envelope liners and place cards. Oh, and take a moment to appreciate the fact that the place cards are displayed in lucite dishes filled with spinkles. Yes. I said that. It's amazing.
This shoot was featured on Ruffled, and you should head on over to see each and every incredible detail!
