The Delicate Suite | Gold Foil and Lace Wedding Invitation by Sincerely, Jackie
You may have noticed that I haven't been sharing as many design recaps on the blog lately, which has been very intentional. Over the past several months, I have been working on designing a beautiful new collection of fine wedding invitations. While I am not ready to unveil all of the new invitations, I couldn't help but share one of my favorite's so far.
Meet the Delicate suite.
When I run my fingers across the deep pressed gold foil, delicately raised lace embossing, and soft cotton paper of this invitation, I am brought back to being a little girl admiring my mother's wedding gown. I used to pull a step-stool into my parents bedroom, so that I could be at eye-level with their framed wedding photo hanging on the wall. I would stare at that photo as if it were the most interesting show on television, studying it, dreaming about what it must have been like to be there, and wondering what my own wedding would be like. My mother had a long, slim gown with a sweet-heart neckline, lace bodice, and long lace sleeves. In the photo her hand, adorned with her yellow gold engagement ring, is resting on my father's hand. I still stop and stare at that photo every time I am in their room.
What I love the most about the Delicate suite is that it brings back cherished memories. The color, textures, and design all remind me of something beautiful, and that is exactly what an invitation should do. An invitation is more than just a bit of paper, it's a tiny piece of art, marking a moment in time that will last forever.
I hope that all of my new invitations will become a part of your story, just the way they have become a part of mine.
Samples of the Delicate suite are not available for purchase in the shop.
Sincerely,
